We are able to place all types of Professional Indemnity risks for businesses and professional people.
With all professional risks the premium in based around the income of the business and the insurers require a proposal form to be completed prior to quotation. The forms are normally quite large as they will cover more than one business at a time. Quotes can be obtained normally within 7 days as most of the policies are tailor made to suit individual needs.
If you have previously been insured we will need the current underwriters name as they will not quote against themselves at renewal.
There are many specialised markets available for certain trades such as, Solicitors, Mortgage Brokers and Surveyors to name but a few.
Premiums can be paid by direct debit, but must be paid in full even if they are cancelled mid-term. This type of policy runs for 12 months and there are no refunds given if the policy is cancelled.
Levels of cover are £500,000 £1,000,000 £2,000,000 and £5,000,000 we can arrange higher if requested and some schemes are available with lower amounts of cover.
Policies are split into two types, aggregated and full cover; the aggregated policy is cheaper but the amount of claims in any one period of the policy cannot exceed the total sum insured. If they do then a new policy maybe offered and the old policy will cease. Any claims that are made which go above the Threshold of the cover will have to be met by the insured.
The second is the full cost which of course is more expensive with no limit on the number of claims that can be made and each claim is up to the limit of the policy.
